Uche Sparks Comfortable Palace Triumph at Irish Side Shelbourne.
Despite embarking on their maiden continental campaign, Crystal Palace are learning very quickly. Missing key players like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles left Dublin with a comfortable result that all but guarantees them a place in the Conference League playoffs.
A further victory in their upcoming match against Finnish KuPS should be enough to secure direct entry to the knockout stages, especially after a prior stumble against Strasbourg.
Squad Members Seize the Moment
This occasion provided a chance for some of Palace's lesser-used players to shine. Christantus Uche, in only his second beginning since arriving on loan from Getafe, opened the scoring with a clinical goal. Striker Eddie Nketiah added a second, scoring for the second consecutive succession.

The match was as good as over eight minutes from half-time. Yeremy Pino weaved past a series of comically weak challenges before coolly dispatching a shot past keeper Wessel Speel to make it 3-0.
After the break, coach Oliver Glasner took the chance to withdraw key individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Substitute Romain Esse almost scoring his very first touch, only to see his effort blocked.
Esse was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one attempt crash off each posts before being gathered on the line. Uche then blazed a sitter of a chance, showing there is still scope for improvement in his game.
A solitary concern for Palace was a late knock to Justin Devenny, who limped off. This paved the way for 17-year-old forward Benji Casey to earn his first-team debut, capping an otherwise positive night for the traveling side.
